Building our Community of Runners & Walkers
What do we do besides giving superb shoe fitting and customer service? We try to give back to the community! Yes, we do have weekly group social runs that bring community of runners together, and we do provide gift certificates and packet pick up locations for local races, but we do so much more than that.
The Medical Night is one way for us to involve in the community. We host local podiatrists, physical therapists, sports medicine doctors, and massage practitioners in our store. The customers can visit with these individuals to find out casually about medical issues, injury prevention, and training. We are hoping to provide useful information to keep our customers healthy and to keep updating our local medical community about shoe technology.
We have done multiple shoe talks at high school cross country camps, at nursing homes, in front of a group of physical therapists and different running groups. We are the running shoe experts and we want to educate our community about shoes and we want you to make a better buying decision on your next pair of shoes!
We also give back to our community by shoe donation. The donated shoes go to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Redeeming Soles, Mary’s Place, and other organizations. Last month, we donated boxes of kids’ shoes to Girls on the Run to get kids excited about their new running shoes. We will take your used shoes as well. You can drop off your donation shoes at our two locations.
We look at ourselves as more than just a retailer. The above examples are a few of the ways we help support our local community. We appreciate your support as it allows us to do more of these types of things.
